Cafe One hosted a creative get-together for content creators and like minds over coffee, music, good drinks, and snacks.
Where creativity meets coffee.
The hangout started with a talk on the principles of content creation, the best gear, and the advantages of community building in content creation.
Navigating through questions and answers, and ending in panelists briefing creators who’re just starting out. The event ended with creators pitching awesome ideas.
Here’s a recap of how it all went down in the Cafe One Creators Mixer 2025.

Understanding Content Creation And The Best Gear To Use
Hosted by the brilliant mind @Ogehezeonu, an amazing tech content creator. She said something that held the room down: “The idea of creating content is not just to create content but for you to become the content”. This resonated and made everyone understand that content creation is an internal job. You have to look into your mind and admire and appreciate what you do enough to put it out there.
Set goals for your content. Is it to educate, inform, or entertain your audience? Or are you trying to build a brand and sell a product. After your goals have been aligned, you can then worry about gears. The best gear to use in content creation is your mind. We’ve seen people do so much with less, just by being consistent and creative. So don’t let the wait for a high-quality video camera/phone and audio stop you.
The Advantage Of Community In Content Creation

Top content creators present like @_Kingie_, @Meshkiey, @_themediagirl, and @victoire_mahounou also emphasized how community can be of an advantage to you as a content creator, giving you steady engagement and reach to people with similar interests.
The likes, comments, and shares may not be so much at the beginning, but they make your creation journey less lonely. Your community serves as a support system that encourages you to keep going, sharing valuable feedback and ideas when you ask.
This session emphasized how creative communities on Fusion have helped content creators over the years. Not only giving them an opportunity to build a loyal audience, but also rewarding creators to encourage and motivate them towards their journey.
The Q&A Session
It was question time and hands were flying and waving in the air with some voices at the back saying “we are over here oo”.
Here are a few questions that were asked and answered.
Q. My Brain Gets Blank When I Get In Front of The Camera. What Should I Do?
A.
Try to rehearse more in front of your mirror before starting your camera. Relax your mind or do something relaxing to get you in the right space of mind, and make sure you do more than 1 or 2 takes. It helps you have a lot of options to work with when you’re editing.
Feel free, be confident. You’re the actor in your movie.
Q. How Can I Use my Content To Promote My Business?
A.
Know your audience, understand their problems and interests, and the solution you’re trying to give them. Know and understand the strategy of your content to build trust with them.
You can showcase a behind-the-scenes video of your business with your audience or a tutorial video. You can also share valuable information about your industry that might interest them. All these help to build trust naturally.
Q. When Do I Give Up?
A.
That’s a very good question. Firstly, love, admire, and appreciate the contents you create because that’ll be all the motivation you need when the journey gets lonely.
Secondly, you’re allowed to take a break, sometimes you might feel like it’s not working out. Take a break, learn more about your interests and what you would enjoy sharing, then come back stronger and more creatively inclined. You can give up now, but that doesn’t mean it can’t work out later.
Panelists and Creators Pitch

The event was fun-filled, with panelists taking everyone through their journey of content creation and how it wasn’t always a bed of roses. From how they struggled at the beginning to how they made it to where they currently are. Sparking hope in all our hearts once more.
The creators’ pitch was also filled with brilliant ideas from different individuals, showing that content creation still has a lot of untapped potential in Nigeria.
Join the moving train of brilliant content creators and plug into a community on Fusion that understands you and the content you put out.
