This May, the highly anticipated Lilo and Stitch live-action movie will be released. Get ready for your scare-o-meters to be maxed out, with the horror movies coming your way next month. If horror movies are your jam, then you should read this to the end.

Thunderbolts

A group of complex characters, including Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, and others, each with their own dark pasts and troubled histories, are brought together by circumstance. They’re trapped and forced to work together to survive, but their differences and conflicting motivations threaten to tear them apart. 

As they navigate their perilous mission, they’ll have to confront their inner demons and learn to trust each other if they hope to make it out alive. But with their complicated histories and conflicting goals, can they form a strong enough alliance to survive? Thunderbolt will be in theaters from May 2nd.

Lilo & Stitch

On the exotic planet Turo, the brilliant but mad scientist, Dr. Jumba Jookiba, faces exile for his illegal creation, Experiment 626. This nearly invincible creature escapes and crash-lands on Earth, finding himself in the care of the young and troubled Lilo.

As Jumba and Agent Pleakley are sent to recapture 626, now known as Stitch, chaos ensues, threatening Lilo’s family. But when Lilo is kidnapped, Stitch must choose between his destructive nature and the newfound meaning of ‘ohana,’ leading to a showdown that will determine the fate of a little girl and a creature from another world. Coming to theaters on May 23!

Clown in the Cornfield 

Seeking a new beginning, Quinn and her father relocate to the seemingly tranquil town of Kettle Springs. However, they quickly discover the town is reeling from the loss of its main employer, a factory destroyed by fire, leaving the community divided and resentful. 

As local disputes escalate, a menacing clown with a disturbing grin materializes from the surrounding cornfields, embarking on a gruesome campaign to “purify” the town, leaving a trail of bloody carnage in its wake. Catch the clown in the theaters on May 9!

Final Destination: Bloodlines

In one of the most anticipated movies in May 2025, a teenage girl is plagued by recurring nightmares of a 1960s tower collapse, a chilling inheritance from her grandmother’s precognitive visions. 

The grandmother once used this gift to save lives, but now, the granddaughter’s visions foretell the deaths of her own family. She must confront this deadly legacy and break the sequence before Death claims them all. Millenials all over the world are definitely holding their breaths for this one! Check it out on May 16!

Bring Her Back

A24 has released the first trailer for ‘Bring Her Back,’ the second film from Danny and Michael Philippou (directors of ‘Talk to Me’). The horror film, set for release in theaters on May 30th centers on siblings who discover a disturbing ritual at their foster mother’s isolated home. 

The movie stars Sally Hawkins, Billy Barratt, Sora Wong, and Jonah Wren Phillips. The Philippou Brothers directed this from a script co-written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman.
