If you are headed to the office, going for a shoot, or a coffee shop to brainstorm ideas, your bag is your survival kit.
There are certain things you need in your bag at all times, as a content creator intern, to stay ready for anything. Let’s look at 5 of them together!
1. Smart Phone With A Full Battery
Are you really going to shoot content with your phone on 15%, and without a power bank? Your phone is your mobile studio, but what good is a dead phone?
From shooting content to editing immediately, replying to DMs, or scheduling posts, you definitely need a reliable power bank and a fast-charging cable.
You should also consider having extra storage space, so you don’t have to delete previous work to film a new one.
2. Notebook, Papers, Pens and Markers
This is a must-have in every content creator’s bag!
Inspiration can pop up at any time, and a physical notebook would come in handy, without having to drain your phone battery.
You would need papers… lots of them, and markers. Because let’s be real, printing has now become really expensive, so you would be saving money if you have papers and markers to draft out the content you need to shoot.
3. Phone Stand Or A Small Tripod
Trying to balance your phone on a coffee cup, stack of books, or your water bottle…, yeah we’ve all been there. But there’s the problem of not getting great angles, shaky footage, and the constant fear of your phone falling and your screen breaking.
If you’re serious about creating clean, professional-looking content (even as an intern), then you need a tripod. It helps you get the right angle, keeps your shot steady, and saves you the stress of improvising with random objects.

4. Headphone Or Airpods
Now, this is not so you can vibe to music while shooting content o. Your Airpods are more than just a music accessory, it’s a productivity tool.
Editing videos? Listening to feedback from your boss? Working at a café where people are having side talks? The right headphones can help you stay focused.
Clear, quality sound helps you notice audio glitches or background noises that can ruin your content.
5. Beauty Essentials
Never to be caught unfresh, yet you’re looking very sleepy and tired with a rough wig in the video. Most times you’re the face behind the content, and sometimes in front of the camera, so you need to always be camera-ready with essentials like;
- Lip balm or gloss
- A compact mirror
- Mini hairbrush or comb
- Small bottle of face oil
You’ll definitely thank yourself when you come out looking good and bright in the videos.
Most importantly, remember to go around with confidence. Show up prepared, with a willingness to learn.
